Pure Meadow Mash is a high fibre micro-pellet that soaks to form a soft, easy to chew mash. It is free from molasses and wholegrain cereals making it low in both sugar and starch. This makes it suitable to feed to horses that need a low starch diet or those that can be excitable. The high quality fibre, and added pre and probiotics help to support your horse’s digestive system. Our combination of super fibres retain water to help maintain hydration and increase your horse’s fluid intake. The feed soaks in as little as 5 minutes making it quick and easy to prepare. Soak 2 parts water to 1 part feed until a soft mash is formed. With a combination of 7 different herbs for extra palatability Pure Meadow Mash is sure to tempt even the fussiest of horses.

Pure Meadow Mash is suitable for all horses and ponies including older horses or those with poor dentition that struggle to chew hay, competition horses to help increase their fluid and fibre intake, horses with limited grazing, horses on box rest to help relieve boredom or those that need a low dust alternative to hay.

Pure Meadow Mash can be used as a partial hay replacer and fed up to 1kg per 100kg bodyweight per day. When used as a hay replacer this should be split across at least 3 servings per day. Pure Meadow Mash contains no added vitamins and minerals so can be fed at higher levels without causing a dietary imbalance. Meadow Mash can be fed in buckets around the stable to help mimic the horse’s natural foraging behaviour and natural head position when grazing. As with any new feed, Pure Meadow Mash should be introduced gradually and the amount fed per day should be slowly increased over a period of 14 days until you reach the required level to maintain condition.
